Services

Through our expertise in recycling, this division of Mercury Consultancy specializes in supplying and selling non-ferrous metals such as:

Aluminum Used Beverage Cans (UBC)

Aluminium UBC is made primarily of aluminium. The Used Beverage Cans (UBC) are mostly comprised of carbonated soda cans (Coca Cola, Pepsi Coal, Fanta and other similar cans), juice cans, vegetable juice cans, sports drink and beer cans.

These cans are thoroughly cleaned, dried and free from excessive dirt, liquid and other excesses. They are free of other scrap metals, foil, tin cans, plastic bottles, paper, glass and any other non-metallic items.

Aluminium beverage cans are lightweight, watertight, airtight, unbreakable, high pressure resistant, thereby protecting all nutrition’s from harmful UV radiations.

Aluminum Wire

Aluminum wire scrap is a non-alloy metal. It is usually mill finished and round. The scrap wire is used in various applications, such as in Tools, Doors, Windows and etc.

It can also be used in for melting into ingots, melting with other aluminium scrap. The scrap wire is fast melting and ease of control through this process.

Aluminum Extrusions

Aluminium Extrusion Scrap offered is resistance against corrosion, can withstand high temperatures, has high ductility and dimensional accuracy

The Aluminium Extrusion offered is anodized, mixed mill finished and has painted metal extrusion. It is dirt free, plus free of coating aluminium castings and forgings of any special type of alloy. The used material is devoid of any plastic, zinc, felt, iron, dust particles, paper, grease, oil and all sorts of impurities (Grades – 6060, 6061, 6063, 6066).

Copper Cathodes

Copper cathode is an electrolytic copper in a cathode form. Copper and copper alloy scrap metal which consists predominantly of copper and copper alloying elements.

HMS 1 & 2

HMS 1 & 2 stands for Heavy Melting Steel (HMS) or Heavy Melting Scrap. This is usually made up of recyclable steel and wrought iron.

It is broken up into two major categories: HMS 1 and HMS 2.

HMS 1 does not contain galvanized and blackened steel. While HMS 2 does.

The 2 categories are further broken down as shown below:

  • ISRI 200 (HMS 1): Wrought iron or steel scrap  1⁄4 inch and larger in thickness. All iron pieces must be smaller than 60×24 inches.
  • ISRI 201 (HMS 1): Same as ISRI 200 except pieces must be smaller than 36×18 in.
  • ISRI 202 (HMS 1): Same as ISRI 200 except pieces must be smaller than 60×18 in.
  • ISRI 203 (HMS 2): Wrought iron or steel scrap, black and galvanized  1⁄8 inch and larger in thickness.
  • ISRI 204 (HMS 2): Same as ISRI 203 except pieces must be smaller than 36×18 in.
  • ISRI 205 (HMS 2): Same as ISRI 204 except it may contain automotive scrap except for thin gauge material.
  • ISRI 206 (HMS 2): Same as ISRI 205 except pieces must be smaller than 60×18 in.

Both HMS 1 and 2 comprise of obsolete scrap only, which is made up of iron and steel recovered from items demolished or dismantled at the end of their life.

Both HMS 1 & 2 grades have a guarantee of a minimum thickness per piece of at least 1/4 inch
